Interest in the NE Bushrangers' Big V program has grown significantly over the past 10 years, to the extent where we now cater for juniors playing in the Statewide VJBL. This gives players, aged 12-20yrs, a real taste of state level basketball, enabling them to enter the elite basketball streams at a later time. 

Experienced and well-credentialed State-level Coaches past and present Mentor and Direct our athletes under the guidance of an qualified high level Coaching Directors heading up the program providing a structured development process, closely linked to the Bushrangers' Senior teams and in conjunction with our partner associations senior teams as well meeting with the coaching protocols of Basketball Australia. This ensures our young squads are given the vital training patterns that our elite NBL and WNBL receive.

​VJBL is a part of the recognised pathway for Basketball in Victoria.   Playing a tough hard game each week with quality coaches guiding the athletes assists in developing quality skills decision making and basketball I/Q to play our elite sport.
