Development Pathway
GROW your GAME

Interest in the NE Bushrangers' Big V program has grown significantly over the past 7 years, to the extent where we now cater for juniors playing in the Statewide VJBL. This gives players, aged 12-20yrs, a real taste of state level basketball, enabling them to enter the elite basketball streams at a later time.

Experienced and well-credentialed State-level Coach Mentor and Director of Coaching (NE Bushrangers), Jacqui Henry headed up the program in its inaugural year, providing a structured development process, closely linked to the Bushrangers' Senior teams, and the coaching protocols of Basketball Australia. This ensured our young squads were given the vital training patterns that our elite NBL and WNBL receive.
In 2020-21, Tony Long steps into this role and will continue to build the VJBL development pathway experience for all players and coaching staff.
